When someone is told they won't get better, they enter a world where information is fragmented: a leaflet here, a study there, a forum full of conflicting stories. Codex brings it together — per disease, in plain language, with sources included.
The knowledge is free and will remain free. No one has to pay to understand what they have.
From source to page
1. Collecting
Every day we retrieve the latest publications and ongoing studies for each disease from PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov — including research on nutrition and alternative treatments. We only store the title, date and link; we don't reproduce article texts from others.
2. Weighing
Each treatment comes with a level of evidence: from proven (in guidelines or approved by EMA or FDA) to not recommended (ineffective, harmful or dangerous alongside your treatment). This applies to alternative treatments as well — especially there.
3. Writing in plain language
Texts are written based on those sources, in language you can read when you're tired or sick. Descriptive, never prescriptive: "this phase usually involves X", not "you must take X".
4. Checking
Every text goes through a check that blocks dosages, advisory language and personal prognoses. What passes through is publishable; what doesn't gets sent to a human editor. Each page shows when it was last updated and which sources were used.
What we deliberately don't do
These boundaries are fixed. They make Codex less spectacular and considerably more reliable.
No dosages
This platform never states how much someone should take of something. If you're looking for your medication's dosage, you have a pharmacy and a package insert.
No personal advice
We don't tell anyone what to stop or start, and we don't interpret individual test results. That's the job of your healthcare provider, who knows your medical history.
No personal prognosis
Survival rates are shown at population level, with source and year, and always with the caveat that an average says nothing about one person.
No sales language around medical content
No countdown timers, no pressure, no third-party advertisements. Which disease you're looking at is the most heavily protected category of data that exists — we don't sell it and don't use it for advertising.

What does the name Codex stand for?
A codex is the book where everything is collected. That's exactly what this platform wants to be: one place where everything known about an incurable disease is gathered. A codex collects — it doesn't advise.
Who is behind Codex?
Codex.care is a publication of Point2Create BV, based in Vlaardingen, Netherlands (KvK 63324547). We are not a healthcare provider and not part of a hospital, pharmaceutical company or insurance company.
Where does the information come from?
From public, verifiable sources: PubMed for scientific publications, ClinicalTrials.gov for studies, and registers such as Orphanet and EMA. Each disease page lists the sources used with a link.
Does Codex give medical advice?
No. We describe what exists and prescribe nothing: no dosages, no personal prognosis, no explanation of your test results. Always discuss your situation with your own healthcare provider.
Is something wrong? Report it via the contact page. Corrections take priority over new pages — accuracy comes before volume.
