Chinese herbal formulas (decoctions and injections)

Various Chinese herbal therapies are being investigated in studies for their effects on heart tissue after infarction and in chronic heart ischemia. Formulas such as Huangqi-Danshen (containing Astragalus and Salvia), Shenzhu Guanxin and Shengmai are being studied for possible protective effects against heart scarring and inflammation.
